Who is Ana de Armas, the lady we're going to watch in a new James Bond movie?

A new James Bond movie also involves a new Bond girl, but this time everything will look a little different

No Time To Die is the 25th part of the Bond movie and the last one to feature Daniel Craig in the lead role. Although James Bond still exists, he resigns and goes on a well-deserved vacation, and his role is taken by friend Nomi, played by Lashana Lynch. In addition to Lashana, the film also stars the increasingly popular Ana de Armas as Paloma, a CIA agent who assists Bond in the mission, Evening Standard writes.

Anna recently stated that her character for this movie was written at the last minute and was completely written by Phoebe Waller-Bridge.

So who is Ana de Armas and what should we know about her?

She is of Cuban-Spanish origin

She was born in Santa Cruz del Norte, Cuba, near the capital, Havana.

Her maternal grandparents are Hispanic, and the actress received Spanish citizenship through them and moved to Madrid when she was 18 years old.

She learned English in 4 months

"Because my life depended on it," she said as she was able to master the language so quickly.

When she moved from Spain to Hollywood at the age of 25, De Armas said she was so determined to audition, and there were times when she did not understand the dialogues she spoke at all.

"The first time I read my piece, I had no idea what 'I beg your pardon' means (sorry)," she said.

She revealed that she thought it was something to be said in anger and that all the people in the room looked at her thinking she did not know what she was saying.

From a young age she wanted to act

Ana has been wanting to play since she was a teenager and attended the National Theater School in Cuba for four years.

"I knew I wanted to become an actress, but I always needed someone to 'discover' you. About the second year of my schooling, Spanish director Manuel Gutiérrez Aragón gave me the role and it was my first film."

She was nominated for a Golden Globe

Anna was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress in a Musical or Comedy for the Movie Knife in the Back.

It's the mystery / comedy of director Rian Johnson (Star Wars: The Last Jedi) in which Anna plays Martha, a nurse involved in the complicated confusion about murder.

Although she did not win the award, she received all the praise of the critics for her role.

She starred in Spain before moving to Hollywood

Ana de Armas became successful in Spain shortly after settling there at the age of 18.

After starring in the Spanish film Una rosa de Francia in 2006, she got a role in the Internat series she starred in from 2007 to 2010.

She later said that while she was living in Madrid, she auditioned for a Spanish-language film, Hands of Stone, which forced her to move to Hollywood in 2014.

The role she played in Hollywood was in Blade Runner 2

You might recognize Anna for her role in this movie, a sequel to the 1982 science fiction classic by Ridley Scott.

She played Joi, a holographic girl of artificial intelligence, who comes out with a character named K, played by Ryan Gosling.

He will star Marilyn Monroe in a movie due soon

Following her role in No Time To Die, the next big role for Anna will be the role of Marilyn Monroe.

Director Andrew Dominik has already selected Anna de Armas for her role as a popular blonde in a movie that will talk about her life.

"I auditioned for the role of Marilyn only once and Andrew said, 'That's you,'" says Ana.

"I knew I could do it. Acting Marilyn is revolutionary. Cuban is playing Marilyn Monroe," she adds.

She was once married

Anna married Spanish actor Marc Clotet in 2011, and they divorced in 2013.

She's pretty mysterious about her private life, and she told one magazine: "I had company (in Los Angeles), but it was the wrong society, so I'd rather be alone."
