A remake of the popular 90s series Beverly Hills 90201 completely disappointed, according to foreign media.
Specifically, the rating of the series did not meet despite the high expectations and expectations, so after six sequels of the first season, further filming was canceled, the Fox television station reported.
The average episode rating was 1.4 for audiences between 18 and 49 and garnered a total of 3.6 million viewers. Among other things, there was a creative problem before the premiere itself as several screenwriters quit while writing new sequels, which slowed down the whole process, writes the Hollywood Reporter.
Actresses Tori Spelling and Jennie Garth were on the production team, along with Mike Chessler and Chris Alberghini. Green confirmed on social media that the new seasons of the series have been canceled, following a request from fans whether the second season is in the making.
The launch of the new season began in late August, but ratings of the Beverly Hills 90201 series did not live up to expectations.
"We have so many stories we can tell and we could shoot season after season," Spelling said at one time, but that probably won't happen.
