McConaughey as London drug kingpin in The Gentlemen

The first trailer for "The Gentlemen" has arrived, with Oscar-winner Matthew McConaughey as the King of Marijuana in London.
The new film is the work of director and screenwriter Guy Ritchie, who returns to his roots in crime films after directing one of the biggest hits this summer for Disney's adaptation of Aladdin. His last Asian crime film was 2008's "RocknRolla."

According to the description of "The Gentlemen," narco boss Mickey Pearson, played by McConaughey, is trying to sell his empire to a billionaire dynasty from Oklahoma. However, he will suddenly face a number of rivals when news emerges that he is about to withdraw from the marijuana empire.

In addition to McConaughey, Ritchie has assembled an excellent cast of actors consisting of Charlie Hunnam, Henry Golding, Michelle Dockery, Jeremy Strong, Eddie Marsan, Colin Farrell and Hugh Grant.

The premiere of "The Gentlemen" is slated for January 24 in the US, and the movie then heads to worldwide cinema distribution.
